Video and Toy Review: New Disney Doorables by Moose Toys! Unlock a World of Disney Magic

Disney Doorables are the new tiny toys making the scene in time for fall launch. Introduced by Moose Toys at New York Toy Fair 2018, I was sworn to secrecy, and could not even take photos! I was so happy to find these at Target, and am unboxing them for you here, right now! We have three mini sets Boo’s Bedroom, Captain Hook’s Pirate Ship, and Alice’s Tea Cup. There are 78 mini figures with sparkly eyes to collect in, and 11 mini play sets to collect in all. I do not find any of the play sets accurate as far as movies go, but they are definitely coming correct with the cuteness! For $3.99, you can unlock a mini room filled with either two or three doorables characters. The harder to find characters either are sparkly or fuzzy! Which ones are your favorite? Video and Toy Review: Summer Convention Exclusive GameStop Disney Tsum Tsum Nightmare Before Christmas

Unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con, GameStop teamed up with Disney Tsum Tsum and Jakks Pacific to create the summer convention collection of Disney Tsum Tsum vinyl figures. We have the Nightmare Before Christmas 25th Anniversary set featuring a new tsum tsum vinyl figure, the Mayor from NBC. Wow! First, I simply cannot believe it has been 25 years since the movie has been released. I was 10 years old! I feel so old! Waaaaaaah! No, I'm not crying. I just sliced an onion. That's all. 

This is what's inside of a tsum tsum! 

The mayor is a new vinyl figure and it is first of its kind with a removable face that you can switch out - the mayor can be happy or sad. This is something that my son has asked about for a long time, and it’s nice that Jakks Pacific delivers with stellar results. The set also includes a moving accessory, the hearse has moving wheels so he can drive around town expressing himself, and a removable roof. The set also comes with a large Jack Skellington tsum tsum vinyl figure. Just under $12 now at GameStop.com, grab this set today; it is definitely not one to miss for your Tsum Tsum collection. 

Marvel also released the The Avengers Thanos’s Infinity Stone gauntlet as a Tsum Tsum set, but the one I ordered was not in the box! Hopefully, GameStop can replace it soon! Review coming for that very soon, hopefully!  

Toy Review: Explore Space from your living room with Space Odyssey by Sharingland, and more imaginative playhouses!

3...2...1! Blast off! Ground control, we have lift off with Sharingland’s amazing cardboard creation, Space Odyssey. One of five sets will take you to space, tend your flock, oversee your kingdom, and more — all from the comfort of your own home.  Imaginations will soar to new heights with this amazing set, and it’s made of cardboard! I put this together in less than 20 minutes—I was having a bit of a time with a newly walking toddler who is just so curious now! My five-year-old son is smitten with this set, and he loved that he could name his space shuttle with the marker provided. The playhouse kits are so innovative that they are listed in the National Toy Hall of Fame. Sure, a cardboard box could work to promote imaginative play, but the Sharingland kits are different, they don’t write the story for your kiddo, they help move the story along. Ever have a kid who gets player’s block, yes, it’s a real thing. My kiddo sometimes is so involved with pretending that he sometimes loses track. I stop what I am doing and get involved, and he’s back at fighting some villain or joining someone for dinner on Mars. Sharingland helps keeps the narrative going with their included accessories and sharp colored prints and artwork, there enough to look at and explore with each kit, and it will keep your kiddo fully engaged.

We were sent Space Odyssey to review, and the cardboard is high grade, clean, and brilliantly colored. It’s tough to not see the value in a toy like this, especially since there are so many elements of play. Moms or dads can fit inside the cardboard playhouse with their kiddo like I did! The entryway is just the right size, and there are peek-a-boo windows so they can peek out, and you can peek in. 

There’s nothing quite like the mysteriousness of a royal castle, one so ancient that even the walls tell stories. With the Grand Palace Playhouse Kit your prince or princess in training will be the envy of the court with their very own royal armor, palace flags, tiara, crown, magical scepter and fairy wings! You even get two adorable cardboard animals that the Princess can sing outside to from the comforts of her castle window. 

We were sent the Space Odyssey Playhouse Kit, and we went to infinity and beyond in our space shuttle. Explore space inside your very own shuttle with a colorful control board and windows to see the universe pass by. The shuttle is equipped with spacesuits, tele transporter armbands, jetpacks, and three curiously cute Martians waiting to take you to their leader. 

The Windmill Farm Playhouse is the cutest set in my opinion with the three little cardboard piggies, a clucking chicken, and dress to impress in denim farmer overalls. Decorated with true to life farm decor with a directional rooster atop, and a beautiful windmill adorns the entryway. 

Hark back to the indigenous peoples of our lands with the Ancestral Teepee Playhouse Kit, this set was awarded  2018 Best New Product Award 2018 • NY Now Home, Lifestyle + Gift Show. Inside take a nap, and be protected by the dreamcatcher inside. Awaken to step outside to your beautifully Navajo patterned teepee, a primitive tomahawk, Chief’s headdress, blazing fire, and a beautifully colored totem pole. Incorporate real history with imaginative play to further enhance your experience. 

The Epic Castle Playhouse Kit is just that, epic! From hatching your very own dragon’s egg to reveal an adorable baby dragon to accepting a knighthood and named the protector of your people; there are just so many fun ways to play! Fold it back up for easy storage, which is such a help for a small NYC apartment! Tip: Keep the packaging, because you can fold up the playhouse in mere moments. We store ours behind our couch.

The Just Play booth at Sweet Suite 2018 was pumping from the unveiling of cute Hairdorables to the new Vampirina toys, PJ Masks, and Jojo Siwa toys, there will be plenty of hot toys to choose from for Christmas 2018! Call me crazy but what I am most excited about are the new Fisher Price toys! I know, I know, but Fisher-Price play food and the new cash register coming out in August really take me back to my childhood. Below are the top toys for Christmas gift shopping - heed my suggestions, and pick these items up now! I guarantee each one will be the hottest toy of the year!

The Fisher-Price Cash Register, an oldie but goodie revamped with more bells and whistles for your little ones, ages three and up! They will enjoy the real working calculator, play money, pretend groceries, a pop register drawer, and a beeping scanner. Cash registers promote cognitive, social, and developmental skills, so this toy is all around fun and very educational. The price for this register is $24.99, a great deal for many modes of play from pretend play to learning through play!  Coinciding with this release are this adorable fun with play food toys by Fisher-Price, I made the mistake of not get the retail info! However, I would not think these play food toys would be more than $9.99 - $11.99. From corn on the cob to real work spreading peanut butter sandwiches, your little one will enjoy playing, pretending, and cooking up food for mom and dad!

Build a Bear got a lot of flack the other day for “pay your age” event, but they tried to give back to their customers - I cannot fault them for that! Everyone is trying to get a good deal, and everyone just happened to show up! With Christmas on the horizon, your kiddos will want these, too!  Thankfully, I am sure the new Build a Bear set will be easier to get than a pay your age bear. The new Mickey doll is number one on my Christmas toy list for my littlest Mickey obsessed guy! He is going to hot diggity dog gone crazy when he sees Mickey in action. Interaction is key with little ones, so the Hot Diggity Dance and Play Mickey also plays Freeze Dance and What that Sound?! Geared for ages three and up, and priced at $39.99 - the perfect price point for a special gift for your special little person, or Disney obsessed friend.

Disney Kawaii Squeezies by Just play are sure to bring squishy surprise toys with the next level! Unfortunately, again I did not get info on these new squishy surprises. Honestly, Sandra from DisneyCarsToys started talking to us, so I had a fangirl moment! Haha! Ahem. Anyway, as you can see from my photo below, Series 1 seems to be launching with a collection of sweet treats featuring the likenesses of Minnie and Mickey Mouse. From sweet Mickey pancakes, Minnie Mouse popsicle, Mickey and Minnie cupcakes, and more! A top this section were the introduction of the new Kawaii Squeezies Series 5! Kawaii Squeezies are $2.99, so I am hoping Series 5 stays at that price point, although, in person, they look a lot larger than they were in the previous series. The Disney themed Kawaii Squeezies are very large, and just as slow rise as their counterpart. I would surmise that these squeezies will be around $4.99 - not too bad, if that’s the price point, especially with the cuteness overload factor here! I will update this blog with correct retail information as soon as I get the info! For now, enjoy these photos!

Vampirina Rock n’ Jam Touring Van is sure to be a hit with your kiddo’s Vampirina dolls! Sing the Monster Dance Song and channel Dragos the Dancer in fine vampire style with this adorable van!
