WORLDS COLLIDE! LEGO Partners with POKÉMON! OFFICIAL!!!!

Get ready for some fantastic news, Pokémon Trainers! 

It has finally happened-- LEGO and Pokémon are officially partnering up with sets slated for release in 2026. The LEGO and Pokémon partnership is the perfect mash-up to celebrate Pokémon's 30th anniversary of the Japanese debut. 

As LEGO fans,  this is a dream come true, but as life-long fans of Pokémon, it is hard to put into words the excitement we feel. Okay, we means, myself and my sons. My husband, eh, he's excited, but he is definitely worrying about how it's going to affect our bank account. Can you blame him? 

Oh, the possibilities for this collection are insurmountable! Here are some ideas below!

• Pokémon Center diarama with Chansey & Nurse Joy Minifigures 
• Brickheadz collection features all of the Kanto starter Pokémon - Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Charmander, also including Pikachu and Eeeve
• Minifigures collection in blind boxes featuring the first 25 Pokémon's first forms
• Pokédex build with sounds

According to the promo announcement, we have yellow LEGO bricks clicking together to create Pikachu's tail. This has my my mind racing and think of the Super Mario & Yoshi set mixed with the Running Pikachu MEGA set. 

I asked GEMINI AI to create some LEGO Pokémon sets for me. The results aren't too bad!

HESS Celebrates 60 Years of Holiday Toy Trucks

Hess Toy Trucks have been delighting fans for 60 years with their annual releases of holiday toy trucks; each year just got better and better. It always felt like Christmastime when my dad came home with that large white bag that said HESS, I knew a new Hess Toy Truck had arrived. Each year my dad's collection grew, and as children, we admired the lights and sounds, and the unique pieces that celebrated our local superheroes with emergency vehicles like fire trucks, ambulances, and police cars. My favorite Hess Toy Trucks were the haulers and military vehicles. Each Hess Toy Truck box was carefully stored and unearthed when my sons were born. They too admired the same intricate details and marveled at the size of these moving toy marvels.

Hess Toy Truck just released the brand new Hess 2024 Mini Collection. The miniature collection features smaller-scale versions of larger sets from the past. This year's miniature collection includes a 5-in-1 set with a fun mix of trucks and vehicles dating back from 2010.  The 2024 set includes smaller versions of the 2010 Hess Toy Truck and Jet, the 2020 Hess Ambulance, and the 2013 Hess Toy Truck and Tractor. Super Mario Bros. 2 Movie Officially Announced by Nintendo for MAR10 Day!

Super Mario Bros 2 was announced by Nintendo legend, Shigero Miyamoto, and Illumination's Chris Meledandri.

Ain't that a kick in the turtle shell? Daylight Savjngs has stolen an hour of our sleep, and Nintendo will be stealing our hearts, once again. Super Mario Bros 2 was announced this morning with a special announced by game developer legend, Shigero Miyamoto, and Illumination's founder and CEO, Chris Meledandri. The new animated sequel will take us on another adventure, possibly outside of the Mushroom Kingdom,  as  Princess Peach foreshadowed in the first film, "There's a huge universe out there. With a lot of galaxies." Oh, we know, Peach, we know!

I am looking forward to the release of Super Mario Bros 2, which will debut in the US and other undisclosed locations on April 3, 2026, and other markets through April 2026. Meledandri mentioned that the Illumination team wanted to get the sequel "just right." I'm all about that! Thank you, Nintendo, Shigero-son, and Illumination for bringing our childhoods from the small screen to the big screen.

Playing each level of Super Mario Bros has always been a beautiful balancing act. If you run to fast, you may fall off of the ledge in the underworld. If you swim too fast, you may hit a Blooper and lose! The collection of Super Mario Balancing Games are simple, fast-play games that are fun to play and to display. There are three sets to launch the line, and I hope more come out! It would be great to see a water world board or a desert board. 

Each themed set (ground, underground, and castle) each comes with color-coded balancing beams, die, and characters. You can take all three sets and link them up to create a cool balancing act and to make the gameplay slightly trickier. The object of the game is to continually move the figures without having any of them fall. If you do, guess what, you're out of lives!
