Pokémon Horizons: The Series Premieres on Netflix in the US

We got a sneak peek of the new Netflix series, Pokémon Horizons: The Series that features a brand new story with the same old Pokémon cuteness. We also have a new protagonist for the first time ever in all of the 25-plus years Pokémon has been around! The twist is... dum-da-da-dum... it's a girl! We were invited by The Pokémon Company to view the new show, Pokémon Horizons: The Series, which premieres on Netflix in the US on March 7, 2024

Who is Liko?

Ash and Pikachu have moved on now Pokémon fans get to embark on a new journey, so as we dry our eyes for our favorite Pokémon master and his partner, let's raise a glass to Liko and her Sprigatito. Liko is an unsure girl from the Paldea region heading to the Indigo Academy in the Kanto region. No sooner does she get comfortable with her new partner Pokémon, Sprigatito, and members of The Explorers try to infiltrate the school and kidnap Liko. Ultimately, we learn that what they are after is Liko's amulet, a gift from her grandmother that holds mysterious powers. We were left hanging after watching the third episode as we got to meet Liko's potential BFF, Roy, a Tom Sawyer-like child who is resilient and has a good head on his shoulders. I feel like Liko and Roy will complement each other very well!

I tried to dress up like Liko. How did I do?

We look forward to watching the rest of the episodes of Pokémon Horizons: The Series on Netflix on March 7!

The Party Was Electric!

A group of fellow Pokemon fans, my family, and I were all closely watching the three-episodes of Pokémon Horizons: The Series while noshing on Fuecoco-fired popcorn, Pokémon-themed drinks, and yummy candies. The kids got all cozy on big bean chairs while donning their Captain Pikachu caps, and bags full of goodies like Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Paldean Fates tins, Paldea partner Pokémon pins, plush, and more! We were all truly spoiled that day, and are forever grateful.

In addition to watching Pokémon Horizons: The Series, we got to meet the legend himself, Captain Pikachu. Captain Pikachu flies the airship with Friede and his Charizard, and the rest of the crew. We learn that Friede is actually Professor Friede, and he has some problems remembering things, but that doesn't make him a bad character -- he's really the comic relief. Captain Pikachu, I think like all Pikachu, is pretty self-sufficient, hence why he's the captain, and is the Pokémon of many hats.

Who's your Pokémon?
There was a Pokémon generator there, and based off of your likes, you were partnered up with a Paldea partner Pokémon.

Personally, I have been a fan of Pokémon since I was 15 years old, and now that I am 41, I feel like my fandom truly has come full circle. What a moment it was to be in the presence of The Pokémon Company, the press, and other creators who have a love for Pokémon like we do!

What's in store for Liko, Roy, and the rest of the gang? Find out on Netflix on March 7, 2024.

Check out my social channels for Pokemon cards and toy unboxing videos! You can also watch the full video of the coverage of the event.

Thank you so much to The Pokémon Company for inviting us to the celebration of Pokémon Horizons: The Series.
